You gotta love seeing how smart (or dumb!) celebrities are when they appear on special star studded editions on Jeopardy. Some you are truly amazed at their real-world knowledge, while others are a little less-worldly. I can’t be the only one who wishes Jessica Simpson would really prove us wrong and that her stupidity on Newlyweds was actually all an act. But I degress.

This celebrity edition is in honor of Jeopardy’s 5000th episode. So which stars will be amongst the 30 competing for the one million dollars for charity during November’s Celebrity Jeopardy? We can tell you!

I do wonder why we have two men from Desperate Housewives, yet none of the wives themselves? And I do wonder how they go about choosing the celebs to appear?

And I can’t be the only one who would have loved to see Martha Stewart go up against Rachel Ray… the claws could have come out there!

The two-week competition features stars competing for at least $1 million to be donated to their special causes. Celebrity Jeopardy! tapes at the historic Radio City Music Hall on Oct. 5, 7 and 8 and is slated for broadcast nationwide Wednesday, Nov. 8, to Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006.

“I’m looking forward to these special weeks of shows, not only because of the fun celebrity element but also because so many good causes will benefit from the stars’ participation,” said Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. “These celebrities are not afraid to go out on a limb, take a risk and still have a good time. The audience will love it!”

We know the outcome of one of the celebrity shows from someone who attended the taping. And I am sure we will get more scoop!

The official Jeopardy website will also feature exclusive behind the scenes footage of some of your favorite stars too!

The tapings at Radio City Music Hall were jammed (check out this pic, unreal!!!). And the pic at the top of this entry is of Sam Waterston of Law & Order, actress Kathryn Erbe of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and actor Christopher Meloni of Law & Order: SVU. Pretty cool they have cast members of the three L&O’s face off against each other, I bet the bloopers will be showing up at year end cast parties! I wish they had done that with the CSI cast too. Maybe next year!

  1. Chelsea says:

I read that Martha Stewart sent some of her minions onto the Rachel Ray set, so she could find out what was on the set. Apparently they were discovered and booted off the set!!! Rachel Ray is so going to kick some Martha Stewart butt!!!

  2. Misty says:

I saw Rachel Ray’s show for the first time today, had never seen her on anything before. Am I the only one surprised by one a deep voice she has?
